Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will gain an overview of the possibilities of computer support for people with disabilities, taking into account their specific needs according to their type of disability (visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical disability, specific learning disabilities, ...).
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to apply the knowledge from the field:
1. Computer support for pupils and students with special educational needs.
2. Text preparation for disadvantaged readers + fundamentals of typography (document design, font, paragraphs, pages, rate rules)
3. Create comprehensible presentations (edit text, edit appearance, insert objects - pictures and sound, page background, text color, color hyperlinks, page naming)
4. Computer communication options for people with disabilities (e-mail, chat, MSN, Skype, Google)
5. Web accessibility issues (content, formatting, control, ...)
6. Electronic learning support (e-learning)
