Course objectives
The subject "Career Kick-off" allows you to prepare for the job market, whether you are at the beginning of your studies or approaching their end. We use lectures, individual and group exercises, and several tasks to address topics that are crucial for thinking about work life and self-discovery.
You have the opportunity to gain insight into the functioning of the selection process, career planning, motivation, enhance self-awareness through new techniques and approaches, identify your strengths and areas for improvement, or connect with professionals directly from the field.
Upon completion of the subject, you will have new or more detailed information about yourself and your functioning, as well as resources you can work with when needed. The subject is based on interaction, coaching, and exercises. You will also have the opportunity to choose two topics through voting.

can create a high-quality CV and Cover Letter;
knows where to find relevant information to help him/her with the job market and his/her career development;
knows the demands of employers and can identify the key skills and competencies required by the current labour market in the Czech Republic;
recognizes his/her competencies, abilities, motivations and personality prerequisites considering their applicability;
improves his/her communication skills and develops not only his/her strengths but also works on his/her weaknesses;
learns to ask the right questions and perceive other people through coaching techniques;
