Course objectives
Language and Interpretation is an introductory course to the theory of Hermeneutics in general and in particular into its German, "geistwisseschaftliche" tradition, going from Schleirmacher to H. - G. Gadamer and his pupils and followers. Various interpretational questions and strategies are presentented on the selected texts and widely discussed.
