Course objectives
Practical acquaintance with various expert idioms. Ethymology, definition, ambiguity and unambibuity of terms and idioms. Basics of the Theory of Definition. Principles of inventing new terms and terminological systems. Interrelations between terminologies in various languages.

Students should learn to not use words, which they do not correctly understand, respectively, to learn what the commonly used ones do mean :-).
Syllabus
  • 1. Each student will be appointed to explicate two terms from the following areas: natuaral sciences, IT, popular culture, economy, law, methodology, common idiomatics, history, religious doctrines, musicology, and history of art. The teacher presents the students with basics of the theory of definition.

    2.-5. Every student prepares and presents explications of both terms.

    6. Ethymology, Definition, ambiguity and unambiguity of trems.

    7. Principles of inventing terms and terminological systems.

    8. Interrelations between terminological systems in different languages.

    9.-.11 Concrete cases of terminological systems examined (hermeneutics, theory of empathy, analytic aesthetics).
