Course objectives
The course is focused on possibilities provided to linguists by specialized computer software, especially in the spheres of morphology and word-formation. Students work with software which has been created at Faculty of Informatics MU above all. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to acquire the basic knowledges of NLP; to familiarize with linguistics software; to learn how to use and exploit the tools; to work with the select tools in course works.

  • Morphological analyzer AJKA, Derivational interface.
  • Syntactic analysis, KLARA, PDTB, SYNT.
  • Semantic net WordNet.
