Course objectives
Aims: Informative: introduction to development of Czech literature by means of key works with regards to library studies.
Formative: to form active relation to readership by informative aim and exact basis (to correct readers experience by literary scientific approach)
Instrumental: to realize literary scientific approach by means of selected works to works which cannot be mentioned in lectures.
At the end of this course students will orientate themselves in development of Czech literature on the basis of key works
their relations to readership will be corrected by literary scientific approach.

  • The content of the lectures: 1. Periodisation of the history of the Czech literature, the main literature of the subject (J. Kudrnáč)

Assessment methods
Exam. Students of present form are required to know two primary works and also know particular literature of the subject. Students can submit essay (to the extent of 5 pages) in advance as a part of his/her interpretation; they can also use their written notes. Students of distant form are required to know 5 works.
