Course objectives
In this course the students learn the basics of practical Dutch language. At the end of this course, students should be albe to communicate at the "Basic level" of the international certificate CNaVT (Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language). The student reaches the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This includes all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The student acquires a basic vocabulary as well.

Teaching methods
Seminars (8 hours a week). Within the class a combination of teacher-led activities and student-orientated learning activities.
Assessment methods
Weakly lessons - 8 lessons per week, 6 with a Czech speaker, 2 with a native speaker. The student has to pass all separate written tests during the term and a final credit test.
