Prerequisites
The seminar is devoted to hands-on translations of texts in Business German to Czech. Although the seminar is aimed primarily at students in the Translation programme or those wishing to focus on translation in their final year thesis, all students of German studies are very welcome. The material does not overlap with the Spring offering. Regular homework assignments are discussed in class. The alternative translations and related topics are also discussed. The in-class exposure to Business German should be supplemented by self-study, based on materials in the libraries (incl. business weeklies and trade books) as well as on the Internet.
