Course objectives
The student chooses the topic of his M.A. Diploma Thesis after a consultation with the teacher whou supervises her/his thesis. The chosen topic refers to the Mediterranean region, student is able to understand literature in foreign languages according to her/his specialization.
The selected topic must be created using the application "Topic Lists".
A summary in one chosen foreign language (French, Italian, Modern Greek, Spanish) is obligatory.
Learning outcomes
The student is able:
- to propose the thesis table of contents;
- to search and compare the relevant primary and secondary sources;
- to analyze the issue under study;
- to write the chapters of the thesis;
- to apply the metodology of writing the diploma thesis: synopsis, introduction, methods of text analysis, argumentation and conclusion;
- to summarize the topic in one chosen foreign language (French, Italian, Modern Greek, Spanish).
Syllabus
  • The nature of the syllabus depends on the topic of the M. A. Diploma Thesis.
  • It usually includes:
  • - searching for the literature; searching in the sources;
  • - treatment of the constituent problems;
  • - formulation of individual chapters;
  • - treatment of the notes and supplements; list of the literature and sources
  • . A summary in one chosen foreign language (French, Italian, Modern Greek, Spanish) is obligatory.
