Course objectives
Doctoral or post-graduate seminars take place once or twice per semester. PhD students present there partial results of their research and methodological aspects of their PhD thesis projects. The aim of courses Post-graduate Seminar I-IV is that every PhD student should present twice his or her paper, he or she should hear and respond to comments on it and should participate actively in the debate. Seminars are meant to support interdiciplinarity and better orientation in the field of Romance languages linguistics and they should support crithical thinking and argumentation skills of PhD students.
Syllabus
  • 1. Subject assignment in coordination with tutor.
  • 2. Editing the paper or presentation assigned. It is important that the text should be sent in advance to other PhD students and tutors who can familiarize themselves with the text and prepare their comments and questions.
  • 3. Paper presentation and responding to remarks formulated, discussing the text.

Assessment methods
Paper presentation on seminar.
Crithical reading in advance of other PhD students´ papers and comments.
