Course objectives
Practical language seminar; activities focused on written communication. The lessons are based on original texts and audio files, oral and written exercises. The students will be asked to take part actively to the lessons.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will able to -Write a CV and short cover letters; -use general editorial guidelines (hyphenation, written accent, quotation marks, italics); -identify information in short dialogues, songs and written texts and re-write with different words; -apply their knowledge of Italian Language in short and simple dialogues; -write short non-literary texts.
Syllabus
  • Activities for developing written and oral competences. In particular: -for presenting oneself (CV, cover letters) -for presenting objects and themes (short expository tests) -forexpressing ideas and opinions (short argumentative tests) As far as the written part is concerned, a particular attention will be dedicated to editing.

Teaching methods
Class activities by means of authentic texts and videos/recordings. Students are required to be actively involved in class activities and practical analysis of a specific text.
Assessment methods
In order to successfully end the course the student should: -give evidence that he/she has studied all the teacher's materials, -actively take part to the lessons and complete all written activities, - pass a written test. Once enrolled in the course, attendance is highly compulsory (min. 75%).
