Course objectives
The subject is complementary to Organization and Managment Psychology. Its aim is to help students in acquiring theoretical knoledge and practical skills witch they will need in order to meet (at a professinal level) most frequent demands for psychological intervention in economical and industrial sphere.
Syllabus
  • Lectures: 1. Definition of concepts, specification of the task, formulation of a psychological problem, information resources. 2. Demans on an appointed person by organization and wider enviroment. Formulation of rights and duties connected with the appointment. A position in the social structure. The appointer's expectation (of applicant and of psychologist). Psychological contract. 3. Methods for verifying the applicant's competence: personal data, reference, psychological examination. Possibilities of psychology. 4. Making up a battery of methods for psychological examination and its limitations. 5. The course of psychological examination of the applicants. Necessity of a controlled interview and giving a feedback to the applicant. formulation of conclusion and reference. 6. Giving a reference on applicant to the appointer - information and edification. Seminars: 1. Formulation of the appointer's demands and expectation. 2.Methods for verifing the applicant's competence: - acquiring personal data and reference, - making up a test battery for psychological examination. 3. the course of psychological testing, rating of applicant's performance in each method, basis for the controlled interview. 4. Controlled interview, feedback, testing the hypoteses. 5. formulation of conclusions and recommendation for the appointer. 6. Introduction of prefered applicants to the appointer.
