Course objectives
The course should contribute to deepening and enlarging students knowledge of ontology and gnoseology. Some specific problems (intentionality, identity, zombies, causality, determinism, realism, possible worlds, time, paradoxes of time travel, etc.) will be delineated and the most influential conceptions and approaches to solving these will be presented. The films should in the first place outline and illustrate the particular problems and perhaps suggest other possible treatments, too. The focus will be on the participation in course work and on the discussions concerning the problems given above.
