Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
- to understand primary texts of medieval secular lyrics, its language, poetics and content
- to get acquainted with Carmina Burana as the most important and best known collection of poetry of this kind (necessary if someone wants to become familiar with this literary genre)

Assessment methods
Individual home reading. Credit: students should prove their ability to understand the text (as for the language as well as the content), to translate it and read rhythmic poetry (vagant strophe etc.)

The course can also be completed outside the examination period.
