Course objectives
The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with the methodology and practice of the preservation of art monuments.
Syllabus
  • Main topics of the course:
  • 1. Preservation of monuments in the  18th a 19th Centuries.
  • 2. Preservation of monuments towards the end of the 19th Century.
  • 3. Georg Dehio - Alois Riegl - Max Dvořák - Hans Sedlmayr.
  • 4. Contemporary preservation of monuments and its basic issues.
