Course objectives
Students should master various approaches to a literary text translation
to know some of the ways of the translation methodology
be able to discuss the translated text on all its levels
on the basis of this knowledge students should be able to choose the appropriate way of translate a text.
Syllabus
  • 1) Textual analysis from the literary critical perspective.
  • 2) Description of the crucila ways of translation.
  • 3)Text translation.

Teaching methods
Theoretical training, exercises in the form of application of the established theses on the literary text, group discussion of the transmitted translation.
Assessment methods
Credit on the basis of the papers submitted during the semestr and on the basis of students participation on the critical discussion of other students translations.
