Course objectives
During the course students will achieve basics of the work with statistical data, tables and graphs. They will learn the difference between nominal, ordinal, interval or ratio variables. Students will understand terms statistical significance, strength of relationship between variables, and reliability and validity of measurement from statistical point of view. They will know how to use correctly chi-square test, F-test, t-test, corelation coefficient and some other tests and coeficients using common spreadsheets.

  • Statistika jako věda. Příprava dat ke zpracování. Kategorie znaků a proměnných. Univariační analýza dat, střední hodnoty. Tranformace dat, tvorba indexů. Bivariační analýza. Síla vztahu proměnných. Analýza rozptylu. Validita a reliabilita.
