Course objectives
Second part of propaedeutic subject will directly continue on subject VIKBA01 Information Science 1. Professional terminology, trends in information science, issues of mediation of information and demands of information career are major themes for the course. Students are introduced to basics, reason and current situation of information science.
At the end of this propaedeutic motivational course, students should be able:
- define concepts of communication, globalization, computerization
- handle basic methods of information science
- describe a mediation of information and knowledge
- define a role of information professional in society
- write scholarly essay
