Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present various aspects of how people perceive religion and which changes are in the western society related to the religion
Syllabus
  • Introduction to the discipline: comparative approach to the history of religion and the contribution of the Anthropology
  • The oldest human postmortem perceptions: from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic
  • Interpretation of the oldest symbols in arts
  • Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China and America religions
  • Balkan and Egyptian roots of Greek religion
  • Religion of the Celts, Germans and Balts. Specificity of the "ancient Slavs". The religion of northern Asians

  • Ethnic religions in the 21st century
