Course objectives
Main goal of the seminar is to improve the computer literacy of students according to professional needs in history research. Graduates should also learn basic skills in digitalization of texts, images and sounds and their further processing and using of professional digital information sources and searching relevant informations.
Syllabus
  • History on the net. Proffesional and non-professional web sites. Searching of professional informations. On-line research databasis.
  • Important and useful web sites and information portals.
  • Digitized sources.
  • Digital libraries, e-journals.
  • Databasis, databasis applications and their using in history research.
  • Digitalization. Using a camera or scanner in archive research. Data storage, sorting and further processing.
  • Other ways of using IT in research praxis. Prosesing and analyzing of texts and audio records.
