Course objectives
The course is based on learning and repeating the basics of this south Slavic language, its written and oral form. Students should gain knowledge of phonetic, morphology and word-forming in Serbian language and improve the ability to communicate in Serbian   on the basic topics of everyday life.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- Communicate actively in Serbian;
- Manage daily situations (shopping, travelling, basic conversation);
- Talk about himself, his family and friends;
- Express his needs and wishes.
Syllabus
  • Grammar: Dativ and Instrumental case, past and future tense, possesive pronouns. Vocabulary: family, home, nationalities and languages, deictive pronouns, seasons, travelling, celebrations, at the doctor´s, adjectives.

Teaching methods
Seminar - obligatory attendence (max. 3 absences).
Assessment methods
Attendance and active attitude. Credits will be granted based on either successfull absolving of weekly tests, or one-time test in the last week. Examination has the same requirements, plus essay written in seminary.
