Course objectives
The aim of the course that comprises lectures of invited experts from abroad is to familiarise students with the state of the art in research in the fields of Classical Philology and Medieval Latin Studies.
Learning outcomes
Upion successful completion of the course students will:
have a fuller picture of the state of the art in research in the fields of Classical Philology and Medieval Latin Studies
have information about the main research trends and about leading scientists of the respective fields
have a better and deeper ability to study in a foreign language

  • Classical Philology and the contemporary international research
  • Latin Medieval Studies and the contemporary international research
  • main trends of international research in Classical Philology and Medieval Latin studies
  • Leading figures of the contemporary Classical Philology and Medieval Latin Studies in Europe

  • 12.3. v 16, 00 dr. Caterina Gaspar: The Muslim invasions in the Iberian Peninsula - historical and cultural context of the 8th century until the Reconquest. The impact of the presence of Arabic language and culture: the Mozarabic. Analysis and commentary of some khardjas and other cultural testimonies.
