Course objectives
In this follow-up course to "Practical Dutch I/1" we continue to use the manual Contact! 1 (E. de Leeuw, P. Roël & A. Cornax) and extra material to further extend the student's vocabulary and to learn the grammar of Dutch. All language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) are being practiced and are tested at the exam at the end of the semester. The student should reach level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. This corresponds with the exam profile "Maatschappelijk Informeel" from the Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language.

The student is able to functionate in daily situations, he can talk and he can write simple texts

Teaching methods
Intensive student-orientated seminars and homework assignments covering writing, reading, conversation, presentations, listening,...
Assessment methods
The student is obliged to actively participate in the lessons. Max. 2 absences are allowed. Homework assignments need to be handed in on time. Moreover students have to pass tests during the semester. If they meet these requirements, they can take the exam that consist of a written and an oral part.
