Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to provide students with practical knowledge related to the possibilities and limits of funding of research projects, processing of applications for financial support from the various sources (CSF, TAČR, specific research, EU funds) and the processing of adequate basic economic balance sheet for the respective type of research.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students will be able to independently carry out activities leading to conduction of scientific activity, and to apply all existing knowledge in practice. The student will be able to prepare and submit an application for the grant competition according to the relevant tender documentation of the respective grant agency. He / she will be able to write the scientific research project (including a summary of the current state of knowledge of the issue in the given scientific field, hypotheses, research design and methods, expected results and time schedule), evaluate its ethical aspects and prepare informed consent, elaborate the economic aspect of the project and its personnel staffing; to assess potential risks of the project solution.

Teaching methods
Lectures, discussions, presentation of project proposals.
Assessment methods
Credit. Conditions for obtaining credit is 80% of active student participation in the seminar and drafting the project proposal according to the tender documentation of the selected provider (GAČR, TAČR, other grant agencies).
