Course objectives
The lecture course offers an overview of British culture and literature from the mediaeval period to the beginning of the Victorian era. Its aim is to provide basic information about the socio-cultural environment in which major cultural and literary events took place. Each class is held by one of the three instructors, depending on the topic at hand. The course relies on primary readings and highly recommended reference materials, which are available in Moodle or Teams. This course was created with the support of the EDUC project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
