Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to analyze and applicate phonemic data using following metodogical approaches: classic phonology (Trubetzkoy, Martinet), Harvard binarism (Jakobson), classic generative phonology (Chomsky, Halle), Feature Geometry.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course the student will be able to: - master the basic terminology of the phonology - know and aply the methodologicy of the classic structural, Harvard and generative phonologies and critically evaluate their possibilities - use these metholodologies in the practical analysis - be familiar with the feature geometry as a special case of the application of the theory of distinctive features.
