Course objectives
Basic survey of the groups of organisms which were formerly called "lower plants". Taxonomic units, classification. Prokaryota: classification of cyanobacteria in recent system. Eukaryota: endosymbiotic origin of the semiautonomous organelles. Survey of the particular divisions of the algae, fungi and "fungi-like organisms", their classification on lower levels: classes and orders. Basic characteristics, their function in the ecosystems, their importance. Recent opinions to the position of the mentioned groups in the system of all organisms (different kingdoms).

  • 1. Introduction, literature. Cyanobacteria. Algae - general information. 2. Rhodophyta, Dinophyta. 3. Cryptophyta, Heterokontophyta, Chrysophyceae. 4. Bacillariophyceae, Phaeophyceae. 5. Xanthophyceae, Haptophyta, Euglenophyta. 6. Chlorophyta, Chlamydophyceae, Chlorophyceae. 7. Ulvophyceae, Zygnematophyceae, Charophyceae. 8. Myxomycota, Acrasiomycetes, Plasmodiophoromycota. 9. Oomycota, Chytridiomycota. 10. Eumycota - general information, Zygomycotina. 11. Ascomycotina, Hemiascomycetes, introduction to Ascomycetes. 12. Ascomycetes - survey. 13. Deuteromycotina, Basidiomycotina. 14. Heterobasidiomycetes, Homobasidiomycetes. 15. Lichens. Overview of the whole system of organisms, division to kingdoms, relationships.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka každý týden, přednáška + cvičení. (Obdobně v jarním semestru pro studenty učitelského studia, viz B2060.) Podmínky udělení zápočtu: absolvování cvičení, předložení kompletních záznamů (protokolů) se zákresy pozorovaného materiálu. Zkouška: ústní, zadány 3 otázky (1 obecná, 1 ze sinic a řas a 1 z hlenek, hub a lišejníků).
