Course objectives: History of physiological sciencies, evolution of physiological funkctions.
Body fluids and their functions, body fluids circulation.
Homeostatic mechanisms, osmoregulation and excretion.
Gas exchange, respiration.
Nutrition, food intake and digestion.
Total metabolism, thermoregulation.
Principles of physiological regulation.
General physiology of excitability.
Functional anatomy of nervous system.
Control of skeletal muscle functions.
Higher functions of the brain.
Sense organs physiology.
Assessment methods (in Czech): Přednáška v rozsahu tří hodin týdně zakončená ústní zkouškou.
