Course objectives
The lecture allows students to get basic knowledge in the biology of cells as well as to understand the role of individual cells in the structures of organisms - beginning at the unicellular level to the tissues and organs of animals.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of th lecture of cell biology. 1. What is the Life, organisms, how division of Living Nature is structured – Aphanobionta, Prions, Viroids, Viruses, Prokaryots, Eukaryots; ways of studying cells, the cell theory. 2. The chemical fundamentals of organisms. Physicalisical phenomena in living matter. 3. Aphanobionta – chemical substances and shape of particles. Principles of reproduction, main types of RNA and DNA. 4. Prokaryotic cells – chemical components, structure und functions of biomembranes, cytoplasmic membrane, mesosoms, tyllacoids, cytoplasma, nukleid acids and their role. The principles of genetic code, and its rewrite. Ribosomes, metaplasma, fibrie, bacterial flagella. Kinds of metabolism, reproduction, basic classification.. 5. Main structures of eukaryotic cell, cytoplasm membrane, mitochondria, plastids, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi system, lysosomes, other types of vesicles, secretion way, carryon, nucleolus, ribosome, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, principles of movement, cytocentre, centriol, vacuoles, metaplasma, intercellular contacts, the flow of information withing cell and among cells 6. Reproduction in eukaryotic. The role of nucleic acids and proteins, genetic code, basic information on replication, transcription and translation, ribosome, its structure and types. The division of cells, budding, amitosis, mitosis, meiosis und their modifications. 7. Main characters in Eucaryotic cells in the cell structure and metabolisms (Unicellulata, Fungi, Plantae, Animalia). 8. Plant cells – main structures in the construction of radix, stem, leafs, flowers and its function. 9. Main characterization of animal, the phases of live. The substantive principles of differentiation of cells tissues and organs, theory of embryonic leaves, embryonic induction, and morphical resonantion. 10. Basis and attendant cells ant their physiology and morphological role in tissues epithelial, connective, body fluids, tissues of muscle and nervous. Sexual cells, their origin, differentiation and role in the animal reproduction. 11. Cells and tissues of the animal immune system. Their origin and role. 12. Homeostasis and its neurohormonal regulation. Regeneration and reparation. Apoptosis. 13. Organisms as an harmonic total of organs. Ethical questions of applied cell biology-

Assessment methods
The lecture 2 hours weekly (possibility of the practical course 2 hours/w. for enlarging the knowledge). Oral examination or graded credit according to the specialization.

General note: Jedná se o zájkladní informace o buňkách a organismech pro studenty na začátku studia, kteří dosud neabsolvovali podobné předměty (cytologie rostlin, obecná zoologie, mikrobiologie).
Credit evaluation note: zk - 4 kredity, kz - 3 kredity.
