Course objectives
A survey of technological operations applied in chemical and biochemical technology. Principles, devices, use.
Syllabus
  • Introduction. Technological processes. Periodical and continuous processes. Economical aspects of production. Mass and energetic balance. Performance and effectiveness. Hydromechanical operations. Physical backgrounds. Hydrostatics and hydrodynamics, flow character. Transport of liquids and gases. Liquid and gaseous mixtures separations. Heat processes. Heat transfer. Heating and cooling. Evaporation and drying. Phase separations. Extraction, adsorption. Diffusion operations. Disintegration of microorganisms. Mechanical treatment of solids. Biotechnological reactors.
