Course objectives
The basic courses Mathematical Analysis I-IV do not cover (due to the time limitation) some classical subjects of the infinitesimal calculus. One of them, the theory of curvilinear integrals, is the main topic of our course. In the introductory part, we consider in detail the notion of a curve and its length.
Syllabus
  • Rectifiable curves, functions with bounded variation. Curvilinear integrals of the first and the second type: definitions, properties, methods of calculations, applications to mathematics and physics.
