Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be familiar with linear mixed model, i.e. with linear model containing fixed and random effects. Students shall be able to estimate random effects according to Henderson's procedure, MINQUE estimators, ML (maximal likelihood) estimators and least squares estimators. Considered are also some applications.
Syllabus
  • Model of variance analysis - model with fixed effects. Model with random effects. Henderson's estimators of variance components in mixed linear model. MINQUE estimators in mixed linear model. ML (maximm likelihood) estimator in mixed linear model. Least squares estimators in mixed lnear model. Applications.
