Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to contribute to the acquisition of environmental competence, to introduce methodology of environmental education (structuring the learning content, transformation of content into suitable forms of activities for pupils, adhering to the principles of environmental education, choice of methods, interdisciplinary approach, regional specifics etc.). Based on principles of sustainable development the presented environmental education emphasises axiological aspects and personal development of students.
Syllabus
  • 1. Ecological (environmental) education in school educational programme and in teaching. 2. Didactic aspects of school and out-of-school environmental education. 3. Acquiring and developing key competences in pupils in the process of ecological education. 4. Organisation and management of environmental education in school: planning and managing projects and programmes, environmentally friendly school. 5. Ecological culture in personality of a teacher. 6. The role and possibilities of a coordinator of environmental education and ecopromotion at a school and after-school club in association with the Local Agenda 21. 7. Ecopedagogical approaches to selected global environmental problems.
