Course objectives

Additional course to basic ecology focused on bienergetic cycles, methods of assessment of biomass and production in ecosystems and bioms.

• Water balance;
• Biogeochemical cycles;
• Energy flow and productivity of ecosystems
• - Freshwater ecosystems,
• - Ocean ecosystems,
• - Forest ecosystems,
• - Meadow ecosystem,
• - Agroecosystems and others terrestrial systems;
• Fytobiomass and productivity of biosphere;
• Productivity and human nutrition.
