Course objectives
Position and importance of transport. Classifications of the transports, characteristics of modes of transport, efficiency,of transport, Transportation geography and its orientation. Transport statistics.
Space removing as a base of the transport. Transport point, route, transport network. Topological simplification of the transport network. Time dynamics in the functional network.
Contextualization of transportation, transport equipment of territory, transport infrastucture, measures. Centre of traffic, hinterland, passenger traffic and the territory, frequencies. Regionalization of th transports.
Traffic impact on the environment.
Central places, centrality. Position and importance of tertiary activities. Typology of services. System of central places in the Czech Republic.
Position and importance of tourism and recreation. Natural, cultural and technical conditions of tourism. Tourism in the World.
