Course objectives
Properties of solids after interaction with particles.Physical effects observed in solid state after interaction with ions. Application of ion implantation in technology. Penetration of moving ions into solid target: elastic and inelastic scattering of ions in amorphous target, ion range and range distribution, channeling. Generation of primary disorders. Processes of amorphization. Electrical properties of irradiated semiconductors. Optical properties and change of condition of phase transition after implantation. Annealing and stimulated diffusion after irradiation.
