Course objectives
Molecule as system of electric charge. Dielectrics in electric field. Dipole moment and structure of molecule, measurements and calculations. Dielectric properties of liquids, crystals and colloid systems. Intermolecular interactions. Dielectric loss, time relaxation, kinetic theory of dielectric relaxation. Optical effects due to interaction of molecules with electromagnetic radiation. Adsorption of molecules at interface, influence of electric field. Complexes with proton or ion transfer. Charge transfer complexes.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Molekula jako systém elektrických nábojů. Vlastnosti molekul podmíněné stálou a proměnnou elektronovou hustotou.Dielektrikum v elektrickém poli. Dipólový moment a struktura molekul. Měření a výpočty dipólových momentů. Dielektrické vlastnosti kapalin, krystalů a koloidních soustav. Mezimolekulární interakce.Dielektrická ztráta, doba relaxace. Kinetická teorie dielektrické relaxace a viskozity.Optické jevy vyvolané interakcí molekul s elektromagnetickým zářením. Adsorpce molekul na fázovém rozhraní, vliv elektrického pole. Komplexy s přenosem protonu nebo iontu. Komplexy s přenosem náboje.
