Course objectives
Basic laboratory course of analytical chemistry -qualitative analysis, gravimetric analysis, volumetric analysis: acidimetric, redox, chelatometric. Instrumental analysis: potenciometric titration with glass, platinum and silver electrodes. Spectrophotometry. Chemometrics.
Syllabus
  • QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS 1. Analytical reactions of kations I.A, II.A and NH4+. 2. Analytical reactions of kations Pb, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Zn, Al. Analysis of mixture. 3. Analytical reactions of anions Cl-, SO42-, PO43-, NO3-, CO32-, B(OH)4-. Qualitative analysis of unknown sample. QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS 4. Gravimetric determination of Fe3+ as Fe2O3. 5. Alkalimetry. Standardization of 0,1 mol.l-1 NaOH volumetric solution by oxalic acid. Determination of acetic acid. 6. Manganometry. Standardization of 0,02 mol.l-1 KMnO4 and 0,1 mol.l-1 Fe (II). Determination of nitrite by indirect titration. 7. Chelatometry. Standardization of 0,05 mol.l-1 EDTA by Pb(NO3)2. Determination of Ni, titration of Ca and Mg in mixture. 8. Spectrophotometry. Determination of Fe3+ by sulfosalicylic acid. Absorption curve, calibration graph. 9. Standardization of volumetric solution 0,l mol.l-1 NaOH by oxalic acid with potentiometric indication. Titration of acetic acid. 10. Potentiometric titration of phosphoric acid by 0,l mol.l-1 NaOH, derivation of titration curve. 11. Potentiometric redox titration. Manganometric determination of Fe (II). Titration curve for different concentration of volumetric solution. 12. Potentiometric praecipitation titration. Argentometric determination of Cl- and I- in mixture. 13. Demonstration of instrumental analytical techniques (AAS, ICP, LC, GC, CE, MS aj.)

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Závěrečné hodnocení - zápočet. Požadavky pro udělení zápočtu - odevzdané a vyučujícím odsouhlasené protokoly ze všech absolvovaných úloh. Účast na výuce povinná, povolena 1 omluvená neúčast.
