Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
  • General Biology (programme PřF, M-BI, specialization Physiology of Animals)
  • General Biology (programme PřF, N-BI, specialization Physiology of Animals)
Course objectives
The course is focused on microscopic analysis of individual tissues and organs. Interspecies comparison is brought out on model species of reptiles, birds and mammals. The aim of the course is to link the knowledge of microscopic anatomy to macroscopis anatomy and physiological processes. Furthermore, specialized staining methods and their use in research will be introduced to students during practical training. Erudition of tissues and organ microscopic structure enables students to explore structural changes initiated by experimental conditions or pathological processes. Integral component of the lecture is practice (Bi8200 Microscopic anatomy of vertebrates - practice).
