Prerequisites
Basic file system knowledge; previous experience with image editors (Photoshop etc.) and plain text editors (Notepad, PSPad, etc.) is encouraged, but not compulsory

Course objectives
ability to code using basic web formats - HTML, CSS, Javascript design and assembly of a simple web site creation and application of vector graphical objects
Learning outcomes
The cource absolvent will be able to: - orient him/herself in the webpage code (HTML5 syntax) - understand the syntax of the SVG vector graphics format - design and implement a simple website - design and implement basic interactivity in web pages using Javascript and SVG
Syllabus
  • HTML 1. basic composition of documents, declarations, links, metatags 2. block and inline elements, pictures 3. advanced construction elements: tables, lists, forms 4. multimedia objects in documents, 5. navigation, formatting: CSS cascade style sheets 6. object model of document (DOM) 7. basics of JavaScript SVG 1. basics of creation and editing in Inkscape 2 code optimalziation for usage in HTML pages 3. interactivity and styling: embbeding of SVG in the HTNL pages
