Ensuring the possibility of
completion of studies for students of
the MU Faculty of Medicine
Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on
Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended
(hereinafter referred to as the Higher Education Act), I issue the following measure:
Section 1
The fundamental provisions
(1) In accordance with cl. 137/2016 Coll., which amends Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher
Education Institutions and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (Higher
Education Act), as amended by later regulations, and certain other Acts, studies in
study programmes divided into fields of study may be carried out up to a maximum of
31 December 2024; the accreditation of these study programmes can no longer be
extended. This measure establishes, in connection with Masaryk University measure
No. 2/2019 (hereinafter referred to as "MU measure"), the rules of the procedure by
which the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University (hereinafter referred to as "MU
Faculty of Medicine") will ensure that students can continue their studies in the same or
similar study programme if the accreditation of the original study programme is
terminated.

Selection of fields of study for transfer of students to successor study
programmes
(1) In accordance with cl. 5 (1) (a) of the MU Regulations, this specifies the number of
fields of study within which transfer to successor degree programmes will be carried
out:
i. Dental hygienist
(bachelor's type, presentation form)
ii. Physiotherapy
(bachelor type, form of presentation)
iii. Physiotherapy
(bachelor type, form of presentation)
iv. Nutrient therapist
(bachelor type, form of presentation)
v. Optics and optometry
(bachelor type, form of presentation)
vi. Orthoptics
(bachelor's type, presentation form)
vii. Medical laboratory technician
(bachelor's type, attendance/combined form)
viii. Paramedic rescuer
(bachelor's type, presentation form)

(2) The graduate study programmes for each field of study or programme are set
out in Annex 1 to this Directive.
(3) The transfer of students to a successor programme does not affect the person
assigned as a teacher for doctoral studies or the person supervising the bachelor's
or master's thesis.

Determination of the date of transfer of students to successor study programmes
(1) In accordance with clause 5(1)(a) of the MU Measure, the date for the transfer of
students in the fields of study listed in clauses 2(1)(i) to 2(1)(b) is hereby set.
xxxviii. to the successor study programme on 1 September 2019.
Section 4
Determination of the date of expiry of accreditation of fields of study
(1) ) In accordance with cl. s (1) (c) of the MU measure, the proposed dates for the
termination of accreditation of the fields of study in question are hereby set out:
a. For the fields of study referred to in Article 2(1)(i) to (x). A xii to xxxvi ii. the
deadline of 1 September 2021 is proposed.
b. For the fields of study referred to in Article 2(1)(xi). and xii, the deadline of
1 September 2020 is proposed.

Establishment
Students who will be transferred to the successor study programme will study according
to the existing templates for the control of the transition of studies, or according to
the existing individual study plans.
I hereby entrust the interpretation of the individual provisions of this measure to the
Vice-Dean for Legislation and Specialist Education.
The control of the implementation of this measure is carried out by the vice-deans
for studies. This measure shall enter into force and effect on the date of its
publication.
The Opatrenf of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University is hereby repealed
c. 2/2019.
