Medieval Religious Buildings and their Examples at Moravian Castles

Středověké sakrální stavby a jejich doklady na Moravských hradech

Abstract: Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou sakrálních staveb a jejich dokladů na moravských hradech ve středověku. Stručně je nastíněn přehled dosavadního stavu bádání zasazený do kontextu geneze a dalšího vývoje středověké hradní architektury. Jednotlivé sakrální stavby, kaple, popřípadě jejich doklady, jsou pojednány v samostatných kapitolách a zasazeny do kontextu hradního celku. Ke každému objektu je přiřazen nástin historického vývoje hradu na základě písemných pramenů a stručný přehled stavebního vývoje hradu. Podrobněji jsou zpracovány písemné prameny vztahující se k období vzniku kaple, popřípadě přímo k této stavbě. Následuje popis současného stavu kaple a architektonických článků ke kapli náležejících. Do jednotlivých kapitol je také zahrnut přehled literatury a vývoje názorů vztahujících se k dané kapli. V závěrečném hodnocení se autorka snažila alespoň rámcově vymezit původní stav objektu a jeho pozdější úpravy. …moreless

Abstract: The diploma dissertation deals with the issue of sacral buildings and their evidences in Moravian castles in the Middle Ages. The dissertation outlines a brief overview of the existing research set in the context of genesis and further development of medieval castle architecture. The individual sacral buildings, chapels, respectively their evidences, form the content of individual chapters, and they are set in the context of castle complex. There is an outline of historical development of the castle based on written sources attached to each building along with a brief overview of the construction development of the castle. The written sources referring to the origination of the chapel or directly to this building are elaborated in more details. Further, there follows a description of the actual status of the chapel and architectural elements belonging to it. The individual chapters also include the summary of literature and evolution of opinions referring to the given chapel. In the final assessment the author tried to define at least the original status of the building and its later alterations. …moreless
