Fear of Child birth - objects, causes and coping strategies

Strach z porodu - obsahy, příčiny a strategie zvládání

Abstract: Teoretická část práce popisuje problematiku těhotných žen s širší perspektivy. Jsou zde uvedeny psychické změny doprovázející těhotenství, současné praktiky v českém a světovém porodnictví a obecné faktory usnadňující proces zvládání zátěžové situace, kterou těhotenství a porod představují. Přehled dřívějších výzkumných zjištění, která se týkají strachu souvisejícím s těhotenstvím a porodem, je založen převážně na zahraniční literatuře. Cílem empirické části práce bylo zmapovat strachy související s porodem v českém prostředí. Náš výzkum dále identifikoval ženami vnímané příčiny strachů a užívané strategie zvládání. Ve výsledných zjištění byly naznačeny pravděpodobné vztahy mezi konkrétními strachy a jejich specifickými způsoby zvládání. Tyto vztahy se mohu stát předmětem dalšího zkoumání v této oblasti. …moreless

Abstract: The theoretical chapters describe the topic of pregnant women from a broaden perspective. There are mentioned psychological changes of women during pregnancy, present practices in Czech and worldwide obstetrics as well as general factors facilitating the process of coping stress situations, which pregnancy and childbirth represent. The overview of fears associated with pregnancy and childbirth, causes, and coping strategies is based on foreign researches dealing with the subject. The main purpose of the empirical part was to explore fears associated with childbirth on the sample of Czech pregnant women. The percepted causes of revealed fears and coping strategies used by women were identified during the research analysis. The final results also outline possible relations between specific fears and particular coping strategy. These probable relations may be subject for futher researches in this field. …moreless
