We cordially invite you to a three-day workshop RNA-seq data analysis Lectured by Dr. Charlotte Soneson (Bioinformatics Core Facility, Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, Lausanne) ABSTRACT: During the course, we will go through different steps of an RNA-seq experiment, starting with quality control, alignment of reads to a reference sequence, quantification of the expression of features, differential expression analysis and downstream analyses. We will discuss pitfalls, advantages and disadvantages of different approaches and the participants will apply the methods in exercise sessions. WHEN & WHERE: November 20-22, 2014 University Campus Bohunice, pavilion A35, room 211 REQUIREMENTS: The course targets researchers analyzing and/or producing RNAseq data and assumes familiarity with the basics of RNAseq technique as well as of molecular biology. Additionally, previous exposure to R and Unix environment is required. REGISTRATION: The course is limited to 20 places. Priority is given to researchers already working with (or planning to work with) RNAseq data. To register to the course (C9088), please, send email to Dr. Eva Budinska budinska@iba.muni.cz. More detailed information will be sent upon registration.
