Fifth Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English - English as the Lingua Franca of the Modern World: New Challenges for Academia

Annotation:

On 17th and 18th September 2012 the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno, organizes the Fifth International Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English. English as the Lingua Franca of the Modern World: New Challenges for Academia, the aim of which is to invite researchers and university teachers from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad to present and discuss their current research projects. The conference focuses on English as the lingua franca of international communication in the globalized modern world and will include a workshop on academic English. The conference proceedings will be published.
