Course objectives
By the end of this course student should be able to: describe basic theories and concepts of health economics; explain the causes of market failures in health care; describe the basic models of health care systems; describe health care financing and expenditures in the Czech Republic; describe basic types and principles of health insurance; list criteria for the evaluation of health care services; apply methods for the economic evaluation of health care services; understand possibilities and limitations of economic analyses in the health care system.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course student should be able to:
