Teaching methods
In practicals, the topics stated in the syllabus are introduced to the students by the pharmacology teacher in the form of a presentation. Various practical activities are planned for the students and will be obligatory to achieve credits. These practical activities will use available information technology and will focus on e.g., case reports form the real clinical practice, searching in valid legislation, searching on web pages of relevant regulatory authorities, or use of medical publications database.
Assessment methods
The students have to prove the active knowledge of pharmacology. The students have to pass multiple-choice written revision tests to get credits. Each test contains 10 questions. One point is granted for each correctly answered question. Students have to score at least 3 points from each test and score at least 10 points from all tests together to get credits. The application of knowledge will be evaluated on the basis of a case presentation on tocolytics/uterotonics.
