Course objectives
At the end of the course students should understand to the priciples of health protection and health promotion, according to main health determinants. They should be able to use their knowledge in intervention regarding modifiable factors, both in patients and general population
Syllabus
  • The Priciples of health protection and promotion. Possibilities of diseases prevention, types of prevention.
  • Cardiovscular diseases prevention
  • Cancer prevention
  • Nutrition in ohealth protection and prevention of diseases
  • Evaluation of dietary habits
  • Overweight an obesity as important risks for health
  • Evaluation of individual nutritional status
  • Health protection against environmental factors – physical, chemical, biological
  • No-smoking as an important way of health protection
