Course objectives
The goal of this subject is become familiar with basic psychotherapeutic approaches and methods, gain basic psychotherapeutic skills for work with clients during their pregnancy, birth giving (pre-term or risk one) and puerperium, learn about psychotherapeutic approach in the treatment of clients with gynecologist - delivery diseases, understand and learn about relaxing method called Autogenic training as the approach of mental hygiene.
Syllabus
  • Introduction in psychotherapy: the definition, types and goals of psychotherapy. Methods of psychotherapy with the focus on relaxation and imaginative psychotherapy, practise psychotherapy (assertiveness). Issues of psychotherapeutic work with pain, anxiety, fear and depression. Crisis intervation. Burn out syndrom.

Teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, short verbal presentation on choosed topics in essays and reflection form
Assessment methods
The condition for achieving of colloquium is working out essay, choise of 5 topics (four given topics, one topic on one's own)focused on given lectures. Other condition is passing in written exam.
