Course objectives
The subject Nursing I is one of the cornerstones of teaching, the content form the basis of the philosophy of nursing. The aim of the course is to acquainted the students with sub-attributes the problems of nursing. At the end of this course, student will be able to: - know the historical development of nursing; - know the concept of nursing in the Czech Republic; - use the basic terminology of nursing; - explain the task of nursing process in nursing; - identify and characterize the different stages of nursing process, on the basis of the knowledge and they will be able to create a process in the nursing care of individual patients/clients and their particular needs; - charakterize the basic conceptual nursing models and their application in the nursing process at the clinical practice; - to know the development of education of nurses - know the basic principles of research in nursing; and ensuring evaluation of the quality of nursing care; - to orientate in the area of multicultural services.

  • Nursing process in ensuring the needs of self-perception and self-esteem. Nursing process for the dying, care of the deceased. Nursing process sexual needs. Transcultural nursing. The Leininger model. Nursing process in ensuring spiritual needs. The Roy model and its application in the nursing process. Stress, stress situation in the nursing process. The development of nursing in this country and abroad. The development of education of nurses. Professional sister organizations in our country and abroad. Research in Nursing, methodology, the importance of nursing research to clinical practice
